“I Wanna Go” is a song by American recording artist Britney Spears. It was released as the third single from her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale.[1] The song was written by Shellback, Max Martin and Savan Kotecha, while being produced by Martin and Shellback. Accompanied with a whistled melody and stuttering vocals, the song’s lyrics feature Spears sings about losing inhibitions.

“I Wanna Go” received mixed to positive reviews from critics. Some praised the track for being effective and highlighted its hook, while others dismissed the vocals as processed. “I Wanna Go” charted due to digital sales following the release of Femme Fatale in the lower regions of the US Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100, and also topped the South Korean International chart for three consecutive weeks. Spears has performed “I Wanna Go” at the Femme Fatale Tour (2011).

An accompanying music video for the song, directed by Chris Marrs Piliero, premiered on June 22, 2011. The video depicts Spears lashing out against the press and the paparazzi, who are revealed to be cyborgs.

“I Wanna Go” was written by Shellback, Max Martin, and Savan Kotecha, while being produced by Martin and Shellback.[2] It was registered on Broadcast Music Incorporated under the legal title “I I I WANNA GO O O”.[3] On February 22, 2011, Spears posted on her Twitter account a link to a 29-second clip of the song, while calling Martin “amazing”.[4] In an interview with Rolling Stone in March 2011, Spears stated that the song’s signature whistle gets her “every time [she] hears it”, adding that Martin’s melodies are “incredible. [...] Who would have thought of that? There is nobody I feel more comfortable collaborating with in the studio.”[5] Kotecha spoke to Digital Spy about the song on May 3, 2011, stating that he had written it “about a year and a half ago” and it was likely a future single due to the positive reaction.[6] A poll in which fans would choose the third single was launched on May 11, 2011.[7] Two days later, “I Wanna Go” was officially announced as the third single from Femme Fatale by Jive Records through a press release.[1] The cover art was revealed on June 6, 2011, and featured Spears on the music video set, wearing colored hair extensions and a top with a skeletal Mickey Mouse.

“Till the World Ends” is a song by American recording artist Britney Spears. The main inspiration of the song for Kesha was imagining Spears and any other female musician touring the world. “Till the World Ends” was leaked on March 3, 2011, and was released for digital download the following day. The song is composed as an uptempo dance-pop and electropop song with a chant-like chorus, where Spears sings about dancing until the end of the world.

“Till the World Ends” received mostly positive reviews, with critics calling it a catchy dance track and complimenting its anthemic hook. The song has charted in many countries worldwide, while peaking inside the top ten in nations such as Canada, Finland, Ireland, New Zealand and the United States. The accompanying music video was directed by Ray Kay, and portrays Spears in an underground dance party set on December 21, 2012. Critics noted the similarities with the music video for “I’m a Slave 4 U” (2001), and predominantly gave positive reviews for it. Spears has performed “Till the World Ends” at Rain Nightclub, Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

“Hold It Against Me” is a song by American recording artist Britney Spears. It was released as the first single from her upcoming seventh studio album, Femme Fatale. “Hold It Against Me” was written by Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Bonnie McKee and Billboard, while being produced by Luke, Martin and Billboard. After a demo version of the song performed by McKee was leaked, the finished version premiered on January 10, 2011. Musically, “Hold It Against Me” features industrial beats, a dubstep-influenced breakdown and a final chorus with elements of rave. The lyrics portray the singer seducing someone on the dancefloor, while the chorus revolves around pick-up lines.

Most reviewers praised the song, although some criticized its lyrical content. “Hold It Against Me” has become a commercial success, debuting at number one in Belgium Wallonia, Canada, Denmark, Finland and New Zealand, as well as on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it became her fourth chart topper. In the United States, “Hold It Against Me” made Spears the second artist in Billboard’s history to debut at number one more than once, behind Mariah Carey. The feat also made her the third female artist to ever score number one singles in three consecutive decades, and the seventh artist overall. Additionally, the single has charted in the top ten in countries such as Australia, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Finland and the United Kingdom. An accompanying music video for the song was premiered on February 17, 2011.

“3” is a song by American pop singer Britney Spears, from her upcoming second greatest hits compilation, The Singles Collection. It was released as the lead single of the album on September 29, 2009 by Jive Records. The song was produced by Max Martin and Shellback while Spears was on tour in Sweden. “3″ is an uptempo dance song, that features a heavy bassline and has influences of electropop and rave. Lyrically, the track is about threesomes.

“3″ received positive critical appreciation. The song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking many of the charts records. The song also reached number one on the Canadian Hot 100 and has reached top ten positions in Australia, France, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

Music video

The music video was filmed on October 5 and October 6, 2009 in Los Angeles, California, directed by Diane Martel and choreographed by Tone & Rich. On October 15, 2009, a sneak peak of the video in images was released. A countdown including images and video previews was announced on her official website and the release date was revealed to be on October 30, 2009.

The video begins with Spears wearing a black dress at a vanity, putting Circus Fantasy on. During the first verse, Spears sings in a white background. There are also black and white scenes of her wearing a white leotard behind a foggy glass. She then appears wearing the leotard and glasses while surrounded by four female dancers wearing black outfits, hanging from a pole. In the chorus, she dances in front of a white wall with barcode-like light installations with six male dancers. There also scenes of her dancing provocatively with two male dancers.[16] At the bridge, there are intercut close-ups of her that end with a smirk. The video concludes with Spears dancing with the two male dancers and cuts to a close-up of her looking into the camera.

Daniel Kreps of Rolling Stone called the video “borderline tasteful” and compared the choreography and the simple backgrounds to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” and added that while “it’s not Britney’s best, […] we haven’t seen her dancing with this much conviction since the In the Zone era.”

“Kill the Lights” is a song by American pop singer Britney Spears from her sixth studio album. Produced by Danja, the song’s lyrics talk about the paparazzi, the media and the consequences of becoming a celebrity. Musically, “Kill the Lights” is an upbeat dance song.

The song received positive reviews, many critics comparing it to a previous Spears’ single, “POM”. “Kill the Lights” reached number eleven on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100.

Music video

An animated music video directed by PUNY debuted on July 27, 2009. The video was inspired by the winner of a fan fiction contest held on Spears’ website, 28-year-old Argentinian Eliana Moyano.
The video begins with an animated Danja, then an animated Britney Spears jumps into her rocket ship and flies to another planet. As she flies, some of the paparazzi follow her. She hides on the planet, turning lights on as she walks. Then paparazzi appear to stalk her and she avoids them, and then flies into space in her rocket ship and struck the planet maneuvering a joystick and killed all the lights on the planet. Even though the song’s length was 3:59, the video is only 2:08, as the second verse and chorus is omitted.
The animated video premiered on Spears’ websites, and was released for purchase via iTunes on September 15.

“Radar” is a song by American pop singer Britney Spears from her fifth studio album Blackout. The song was recorded in late 2006 and was planned to be the fourth single of the album, but the release was cancelled. It was later included as a bonus track on her sixth studio album Circus and released on June 23, 2009 by Jive Records as the fourth and final single from the album. The lyrics of the song refer to an attraction between the protagonist and a man, while she wonders if he knows what she is feeling. Produced and co-written by Bloodshy & Avant and The Clutch, “Radar” is an electropop song with usage of sonar pulses and synths.

“Radar” received positive critical appreciation, with most reviewers calling it one of Blackout’s highlights. The song peaked at number eight on the Swedish Singles Chart in 2008 and reached number eighty-eight on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 2009, becoming her twenty-second entry on the chart. In the music video, directed by Dave Meyers, Spears is an aristocratic woman, involved in a love triangle with two men, who are polo players.

Music video

The music video was filmed on May 27 and 28, 2009 at a private residence located just north of Santa Barbara, California, directed by Dave Meyers. In an interview, he told MTV that the music video was inspired by Madonna’s “Take a Bow”. He also wanted to experiment with the video and show a different side to Spears, “I thought, ‘It’s not the first single. Let’s be a little experimental and push to not have her around dancers,’ ” Meyers said. “I feel, I guess, that the videos are a chance for her to vocalize a sense of herself. The media tends to attack her, so I thought, ‘Let’s show the classy side of Britney and focus on a classy experience, very European-inspired.’ And she’s at the point in her career where I think this would be a nice step.” The video was officially released on July 2, 2009 on Spears’ official Vimeo account and website.

The video begins with Spears arriving at a polo club. She comes out from the car wearing a vest, jeans and sunglasses and starts singing while a man welcomes her. They walk past a barn, where another man wearing a wifebeater is sitting. They look at each other briefly and she starts to sing in a balcony, watching the second man with a pair of binoculars. At the end of the first chorus, the first man comes and puts a studded necklace around her neck, as a surprise gift. Until the end of the second chorus, we see scenes of Spears singing and watching the second man as he gets ready. When the bridge begins, Spears arrives at the match wearing a white dress and a large hat, a reference to a scene in the 1967 film adaptation of Anna Karenina. Spears looks at the second man and sings I got my eye on you, and I can’t let you get away. When the match ends, she leaves and the second man follows her. They flirt inside a hallway and leave. The first man notices her absence, walks into the hallway and sees her necklace on the floor. The video ends with Spears and the second man walking into the sunset.

Daniel Kreps of Rolling Stone called it “Spears’ weakest video, said the idea was unoriginal and compared it to a “a 30-second commercial for one of Spears’ perfumes”. OK! said it was “posh” and gave the video a positive review, and said it was a nice departure from her recent revealing videos.

“If U Seek Amy” is a song by American pop singer Britney Spears from her sixth studio album. It was released on March 10, 2009 by Jive Records as the third single of the album. In the song, Spears is looking for a woman named Amy in a club, and although it appears to be about sex, it is actually about how society perceives her life. The track was co-written and produced by Max Martin, who also wrote previous hits for Spears’ first three albums.

“If U Seek Amy” was well received by the critics, most calling it one of the highlights the album. It is also known for its double entendre name, and caused controversy in English speaking countries. “If U Seek Amy” peaked at number nineteen in the Billboard Hot 100 and reached the top twenty in twelve countries.

Filming for the video began on February 10, 2009, and was directed by Jake Nava, who previously worked with Spears for her 2004 music video “My Prerogative”. The music video premiered on March 12, 2009 on both Virgin Mobile‘s official website and Spears’s official websites.

The video starts with a news anchor saying the title of the song above a news banner that reads “Britney Spears song lyrics spell out obscenity in disguise,” a parody of an America’s Newsroom report by Megyn Kelly. It then skips to a house, in which a sex party is coming to an end. Spears gets up from the bed wearing a pair of bespoke red petal Christian Louboutin pumps and a black sleeveless top. She sings the first verse and looks out the window. As it ends, she picks down from the floor a pair of panties, recalling her personal struggles and the “Piece of Me” video. She dances with four male dancers in the first chorus. During the second chorus, she dances with four other female dancers dressed in cheerleading outfits, while all the guys are watching them dance. The screen fades to white and Britney begins to change into a conservative ’50s-style outfit including a Lacoste polo shirt, white skirt, and white heels. As the chorus begins again, she comes out of her bedroom. She walks down the stairs, with dancers surrounding her and a woman gives her a potholder, which she uses to pick up a pie.

She then gets out of the house and is joined by her seemingly conservative-looking husband and children, one of them dressed as Spears original outfit in the “…BOMT” video. . As they go down the walkway, they are surrounded by paparazzi, who have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. While the kids and husband wave, Spears smiles for the camera and blows a kiss. The video then ends with the news anchor saying, “It doesn’t make any sense, does it?”.

Rolling Stone called it “controversial” and that the clip “does not disappoint”. They describe the party on the video as “Eyes Wide Shut without the masks or creepy music”. MTV called it one of Spears’ best videos, listing all the references to her past videos.

“Circus” is a song by American pop singer Britney Spears from her sixth studio album of the same name. It was released on December 1, 2008 as the second single from the album. The song, produced by Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco, talks about Spears abilities as an entertainer and explains the emotions she feels while performing on stage. Musically, “Circus” is an uptempo dance song, with influences of R&B.

“Circus” has received positive reviews from music critics, many praising the song’s production. The single became Spears’ first top-three debut on the Billboard Hot 100 and has sold 2.5 million copies in the US. The song has been certified platinum in Australia and Denmark and reached top ten positions in eleven countries worldwide.

The music video features Spears as the ringleader of a circus and was directed by Francis Lawrence. The song has been performed on Good Morning America to a TV audience of over 20 million as well as The Circus Starring: Britney Spears world tour. Spears opens the show with “Circus”, while wearing a ringmaster-stlye outfit complete with a whip.

Music video

The music video was filmed from October 28, 2008 until November 2, 2008. Confirmed by her manager Larry Rudolph, Francis Lawrence, directed the music video. Spears chose Lawrence, since he was the “only person who could capture it, make it really twisted, eccentric and different” . The shoot was confirmed by Spears herself on November 6, 2008 at the MTV Europe Music Awards, while on set shooting it. She was seen sporting a curled bob hair style. An exclusive three-second clip was shown during a promo for her documentary Britney: For the Record. A 30 second preview/teaser of the video was released by Spears’ Jive Records-run YouTube channel on November 25, 2008, with a second being released on December 1, 2008.

The video leaked on to the China video sharing website Tudou on December 3, 2008, although this was later confirmed that this was not the final edit of the video. The finalized video was to be officially premiered on December 5, 2008, on Entertainment Tonight. However, due to the leak and public interest, Entertainment Tonight and Spears’ management decided to change the date of the world premiere to December 4, 2008.

The video starts off with Spears at a vanity, putting Curious on as well as putting on earrings by BVLGARI. Then her shadow is seen, she is holding a hat in front of her face while birds fly out of a hat. Then Spears is shown in front of a red curtain, with the spotlight on her. She puts on a jacket and proceeds with her dance crew. As the chorus begins, they are all shown dancing. Then Spears is shown with a leaf-like bra on, dancing around chairs. Also, she is seen moving in slow motions with fireworks coming down behind her. Spears and her crew dance around a ring of fire. Throughout the video Spears is also seen next to lions and elephants.

The entertainment website, Digital Spy, described the music video as being “cheeky, seductive and more than a little bit ridiculous”, and said that Spears “delivers some killer dance routines”.[31] PETA has criticized the music video, which they claim uses cruelly-trained lions and elephants. PETA director said: “Britney may think her life is a circus, but for the animals who are whipped, chained, and beaten to perform under the real big top, the cruelty is very real. She may be headed for a comeback, but when it comes to animals, she still can’t get her act together.” This is the second time PETA have commented on the singer, the organization criticized her for dancing on stage with a yellow python at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.[33] The video won the award for “Best Moves” at the MTV Australia Awards 2009.
