“I Wanna Go” is a song by American recording artist Britney Spears. It was released as the third single from her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale.[1] The song was written by Shellback, Max Martin and Savan Kotecha, while being produced by Martin and Shellback. Accompanied with a whistled melody and stuttering vocals, the song’s lyrics feature Spears sings about losing inhibitions.

“I Wanna Go” received mixed to positive reviews from critics. Some praised the track for being effective and highlighted its hook, while others dismissed the vocals as processed. “I Wanna Go” charted due to digital sales following the release of Femme Fatale in the lower regions of the US Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100, and also topped the South Korean International chart for three consecutive weeks. Spears has performed “I Wanna Go” at the Femme Fatale Tour (2011).

An accompanying music video for the song, directed by Chris Marrs Piliero, premiered on June 22, 2011. The video depicts Spears lashing out against the press and the paparazzi, who are revealed to be cyborgs.

“I Wanna Go” was written by Shellback, Max Martin, and Savan Kotecha, while being produced by Martin and Shellback.[2] It was registered on Broadcast Music Incorporated under the legal title “I I I WANNA GO O O”.[3] On February 22, 2011, Spears posted on her Twitter account a link to a 29-second clip of the song, while calling Martin “amazing”.[4] In an interview with Rolling Stone in March 2011, Spears stated that the song’s signature whistle gets her “every time [she] hears it”, adding that Martin’s melodies are “incredible. [...] Who would have thought of that? There is nobody I feel more comfortable collaborating with in the studio.”[5] Kotecha spoke to Digital Spy about the song on May 3, 2011, stating that he had written it “about a year and a half ago” and it was likely a future single due to the positive reaction.[6] A poll in which fans would choose the third single was launched on May 11, 2011.[7] Two days later, “I Wanna Go” was officially announced as the third single from Femme Fatale by Jive Records through a press release.[1] The cover art was revealed on June 6, 2011, and featured Spears on the music video set, wearing colored hair extensions and a top with a skeletal Mickey Mouse.

“Till the World Ends” is a song by American recording artist Britney Spears. The main inspiration of the song for Kesha was imagining Spears and any other female musician touring the world. “Till the World Ends” was leaked on March 3, 2011, and was released for digital download the following day. The song is composed as an uptempo dance-pop and electropop song with a chant-like chorus, where Spears sings about dancing until the end of the world.

“Till the World Ends” received mostly positive reviews, with critics calling it a catchy dance track and complimenting its anthemic hook. The song has charted in many countries worldwide, while peaking inside the top ten in nations such as Canada, Finland, Ireland, New Zealand and the United States. The accompanying music video was directed by Ray Kay, and portrays Spears in an underground dance party set on December 21, 2012. Critics noted the similarities with the music video for “I’m a Slave 4 U” (2001), and predominantly gave positive reviews for it. Spears has performed “Till the World Ends” at Rain Nightclub, Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

“Hold It Against Me” is a song by American recording artist Britney Spears. It was released as the first single from her upcoming seventh studio album, Femme Fatale. “Hold It Against Me” was written by Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Bonnie McKee and Billboard, while being produced by Luke, Martin and Billboard. After a demo version of the song performed by McKee was leaked, the finished version premiered on January 10, 2011. Musically, “Hold It Against Me” features industrial beats, a dubstep-influenced breakdown and a final chorus with elements of rave. The lyrics portray the singer seducing someone on the dancefloor, while the chorus revolves around pick-up lines.

Most reviewers praised the song, although some criticized its lyrical content. “Hold It Against Me” has become a commercial success, debuting at number one in Belgium Wallonia, Canada, Denmark, Finland and New Zealand, as well as on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it became her fourth chart topper. In the United States, “Hold It Against Me” made Spears the second artist in Billboard’s history to debut at number one more than once, behind Mariah Carey. The feat also made her the third female artist to ever score number one singles in three consecutive decades, and the seventh artist overall. Additionally, the single has charted in the top ten in countries such as Australia, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Finland and the United Kingdom. An accompanying music video for the song was premiered on February 17, 2011.

“3” is a song by American pop singer Britney Spears, from her upcoming second greatest hits compilation, The Singles Collection. It was released as the lead single of the album on September 29, 2009 by Jive Records. The song was produced by Max Martin and Shellback while Spears was on tour in Sweden. “3″ is an uptempo dance song, that features a heavy bassline and has influences of electropop and rave. Lyrically, the track is about threesomes.

“3″ received positive critical appreciation. The song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, breaking many of the charts records. The song also reached number one on the Canadian Hot 100 and has reached top ten positions in Australia, France, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

Music video

The music video was filmed on October 5 and October 6, 2009 in Los Angeles, California, directed by Diane Martel and choreographed by Tone & Rich. On October 15, 2009, a sneak peak of the video in images was released. A countdown including images and video previews was announced on her official website and the release date was revealed to be on October 30, 2009.

The video begins with Spears wearing a black dress at a vanity, putting Circus Fantasy on. During the first verse, Spears sings in a white background. There are also black and white scenes of her wearing a white leotard behind a foggy glass. She then appears wearing the leotard and glasses while surrounded by four female dancers wearing black outfits, hanging from a pole. In the chorus, she dances in front of a white wall with barcode-like light installations with six male dancers. There also scenes of her dancing provocatively with two male dancers.[16] At the bridge, there are intercut close-ups of her that end with a smirk. The video concludes with Spears dancing with the two male dancers and cuts to a close-up of her looking into the camera.

Daniel Kreps of Rolling Stone called the video “borderline tasteful” and compared the choreography and the simple backgrounds to Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” and added that while “it’s not Britney’s best, […] we haven’t seen her dancing with this much conviction since the In the Zone era.”

“…Baby One More Time” is the debut hit single from pop singer Britney Spears, released from her debut album of the same name during the fourth quarter of 1998 in the United States, and in early 1999 internationally. The song was written and co-produced by Max Martin. The track was a smash hit success globally and remains Spears’ most successful single. The track went on to top all the charts where it appeared making it the only track to do so. It is the most successful debut single for any recording artist who has not had any former musical experience professionaly. The track established Spears as a pop cultural phenomenon, and became a tag with which the singer was associated for a long time. It is one of the most successful tracks ever released in music history reaching the #1 spot in the charts in every country it charted in.

Music video

Directed by Nigel Dick, the video’s original setup was in high contrast to what eventually became the final product. The plan was to have the video in a cartoon-like environment, in a likely attempt to attract the audience of younger children. However, Spears was unhappy with this, and argued that the set should be a bit more mature. So, the childish nature of the primary plan was scrapped, and instead was replaced with Spears’s idea for the video to be shot in a school. The schoolgirl outfit worn by Spears in the video is on display at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV. The knotted shirt design was Spears’ idea, she recollects saying, “The outfits looked kind of dorky, so I was like, ‘Let’s tie up our shirts and be cute’”

Shot in two days from August 7-8, 1998 at Venice High School in California (the same school which was used to film the movie Grease), the music video for “…Baby One More Time” begins with Spears in a particularly boring class right before the end of the day. Her assistant Felicia Culotta played the role of Spears’s teacher. When the bell rings, Spears runs out into the hall and begins a choreographed dance. After this, Spears is outside, now adorned in an athletic outfit. Along with a couple of other students, she performs a number of gymnastic moves before heading back inside. She is then sitting on the bleachers in the gymnasium watching a basketball game. Her love interest, played by her real-life cousin Chad, in the video is revealed. After this short segment, Spears begins her final dance routine and the video ends shortly afterwards, revealing that the whole thing had actually just been Spears’s daydream.

The video became an instant hit on MTV and other music channel vehicles, and eventually retired on TRL.

The Greatest Hits: My Prerogative DVD, released in 2004, contains two alternate versions of the video. One features Spears in a pink singlet top and white pants dancing with her back-up dancers. The other alternate version sees Spears in her school girl uniform dancing through the school hall from the start of the song to the end of the first chorus. It differs slightly from the original as the shots are longer.

On the final episode of TRL, the video made number one on the countdown as the most iconic video of all time, also making it the last music video to ever be played on the show. On MTV Latinamerica the video came in at number 7 of Los Videos mas MTV or The most MTV-like videos and in number 3 of The Top 100 Pop Videos only after Madonna and Michael Jackson.
