“Someday (I Will Understand)” is a song by American pop singer Britney Spears from her first EP, Chaotic. It was released on September 21, 2005, by Jive Records as the first and only single from the EP. Also in Japan it was released as an alone EP with 3 additional songs and a remix that also appeared on the Chaotic.

The music video for “Someday” premiered on the finale of Spears’s reality show Britney and Kevin: Chaotic. In the video, a pregnant Spears is found about her home on her bed and looking out onto her yard, which includes a statue of an angel and leaves falling from the trees. This was the first of Spears’ videos to be shot entirely in black-and-white. Spears said that the best word to describe the video was “simplicity”, and that both the song and video perfectly captured the point she had then reached in her life. The video was directed by Michael Haussman and produced by Nina Wong for Person Films.
