Britney Spears' Official "Outrageous" Single Cover.

Outrageous” is the fourth and final single released from Britney Spears’ fourth studio album, In the Zone (2003). The single was released during the third quarter of 2004. The song was both written and produced by pop-R&B artist R. Kelly, who also offers vocals to the track. It was to be featured as the title soundtrack for the film Catwoman.

Music video

The single was supposed to be coupled with a music video directed by previous Spears collaborator Dave Meyers; however, Spears sustained a knee injury during a dance routine and could not complete it. Clips of the video feature a cameo appearance by Snoop Dogg. the video was to premiere on MTV on June 28.

Shot in New York City, New York, the would-be music video for “Outrageous” that is included on the Greatest Hits: My Prerogative DVD starts in the middle of the song where Snoop Dogg is seen playing basketball with a group of friends. Suddenly, Spears interrupts the game. She proceeds to flirt with Snoop Dogg before jumping into his arms and licking his beard during the line “until I vow to keep it forever.” (This is only shown on the Greatest Hits DVD). In the next scene, she and her dancers perform in a wet street, which is where she injures her knee.
